This time Stratovarius allowed me to be part of the selection of the song.
I had the privilege to listen the whole album “Survive” before it’s release.

It was no easy choice, but “Broken” had something special: It speeks of ourselves as a specie and how we need to reconfigure our human nature, being aware of how potentially harmful we can be to the rest of the world.

They already have a song called “Unbreakable”, for which I made a music video for. I felt we had the opportunity to explore the other side of the concept and see how “broken” we could really end up.

I worked along with my friend Federico Marcello as co-director. We decided to portray the band playing in a nordic forest (we shot that part in Helsinki), and a much darker story happening in parallel. A warning of what might happen in a near future. We all, cast and crew, assumed this video as if we were shooting a film (the story was shot in Buenos Aires) and it was an extremely cool experience.

Jens Johansson suggested that we should repeat some of the actors from “My Eternal Dream” music video.
That’s how Lucas Aranda, Natalia Biasin and Fran Morello came into the picture again.
